Simplicity Ceremonies Funeral Celebrant
Hello, my name is David. I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant. I specialise in funeral ceremonies and I am based in Somerset. I provide a simple, tailored and meaningful ceremony
A simple and meaningful service suited to your needs.
Thank you for your consideration of my service. If you are looking for a ceremony that you will feel comfortable with, that suits your needs at this difficult time, that introduces calm and stillness when it is most needed, I would respectfully put myself forward. As well as ceremonies at crematoriums and at burials, I also offer memorial ceremonies and ceremonies after direct cremations.
I am a Fellow of The Faculty of Funeral Celebrants issued under the seal of the Society of Bereavement Practitioners by Professor Jason Powell PhD FRSA.
I specialise in funeral celebrancy.
I do not conduct weddings or other ceremonies. I do this as I want to focus on this rather than split my time with other celebrancy services. This is such an important occasion for everyone involved and I want to make sure that each family is listened to and gets the ceremony that they require and deserve.
I am a father and grand-father and have my own share of life experience.
I am happy to conduct religious, spiritual or secular ceremonies as your family may wish.
Each ceremony is unique and equal.
I believe a simple ceremony, with the room for silent reflection as part of the mix, is something I can offer as needed. As a Quaker I do believe there are elements of this way of life that can be of benefit in a funeral service, however, it is your ceremony and this is my focus.
My price for creating and conducting a funeral ceremony is from £234...following C of E guidelines.

Next Step
If you do wish to book me for your ceremony, I would appreciate a face-to-face meeting with you and any other members of your family who wish to contribute. It is important for me to speak to you so that I understand the history and story of your loved-one. I can then construct a ceremony around this from your input. I will write a script and go over it with you should you wish to do so prior to the ceremony. We can also establish what other elements you wish to introduce, for example other contributors during the service.
Please get in touch by email, david@simplicityceremonies.com and I will come back to you. If you want me to call you at a convenient time please leave me your phone number and when it may be convenient to call you, e.g. weekday evenings etc...
Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you. In friendship,
David
