When is a funeral held after passing ?

A funeral is normally held between 2 to 4 weeks after passing. This could be held sooner for religious reasons, or later, if a death is being looked into by a Coroner. A cremation or burial could be arranged nearer to the time of death, with a memorial service being held later at a time and place of your choosing. A funeral celebrant could be engaged for the memorial service. Some funeral celebrants, myself included, will have favourable arrangements with suitable venues.
