A Direct Cremation and a Ceremony ?

I recently conducted a ceremony at a crematorium, I was approached by a member of the family to do this. The ceremony was the normal 30 minutes. The coffin was already in place at the service. The Funeral Director had arranged this and had then left. This was their only involvement on the day. The funeral ceremony consisted of myself as the funeral celebrant, alongside the chapel attendant. Family and friends were in attendance. Everything went smoothly on the day. I write about this as it is not the norm, but it worked.
