How long is a funeral ceremony ?
A funeral ceremony can be time-limited in a church or a crematorium. In a crematorium it is normally around 30 minutes. This allows for the bearing of the coffin, music choices, a visual tribute, the eulogy and any contributions or readings from the family. Double slots can be booked if required. There is much to recommend here and the time is normally sufficient.
If a ceremony is held in other locations which are less restricted by time, so maybe a memorial service in e.g. a village hall, or a private gathering indoors or outdoors, then time is likely to be much less of a consideration, albeit the gathering may lack some of the formalities. A professional celebrant can ensure that either setting works well for the family.
